Air Liquide's artificial respirators successfully secured

The Group’s sister companies have continued their respective activities in order to guarantee and maintain service quality to the best of their ability.
Following several years’ collaboration with the Air Liquide Group, the Linksy Group took up the challenge of coating screws for the manufacture of artificial respirators to aid and contribute to the national effort to combat the virus. This production request further strengthened the ties between the group and the customer.
The Air Liquide order:
An exceptional order for screws was placed by one of our customers to help produce artificial respirators to save the lives of Coronavirus patients.
Over the past few weeks, Soprima Industrie has produced and delivered 150,000 coated screws to meet the order. This equipment is vital in the context of this health crisis and beyond, to equip French hospitals.
Soprima’s pre-coated screws guarantee the reliability of the anti-unscrewing function:
- Medical equipment is subjected to high stresses (vibration, sealing, etc.).
- Medical equipment assemblies loosen under the effect of shock, vibration and thermal expansion. Soprima’s pre-coated fasteners are the most effective solution for securing these assemblies and preventing accidental loosening, which is why Air Liquide has placed its trust in our responsiveness and expertise.
The Linksy Group takes up the challenge:
The 4 companies in the Linksy group – Foubert, Inserco, Soprilok and Soprima – worked in synergy and urgency to supply these patched parts.
Foubert is nationally recognized for its expertise in the trading and distribution of screws, bolts and all types of fasteners.
Inserco specializes in plastic and sheet metal inserts, fasteners and innovative assembly systems,
Soprilok specializes in high-volume pre-coating, with over 120 million parts processed each year.
Finally, Soprima specializes in pre-coating treatments for threaded and plain parts, as well as contract packaging for industrial products.
Each company has brought its own expertise to the manufacture of respirators. Air Liquide manufactures two types in its workshops: in Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), the devices are intended for home use by chronic respiratory patients; in Antony (Hauts-de-Seine), the heavy hospital devices.
Thanks to the synergy of the 4 companies and the expertise contributed by each, we were able to perfectly meet Air Liquide’s requirements in terms of safety, mechanics and robustness.
